Grades are evaluated based on regular exams (midterms/finals), non-regular exams, attendance rate, and class
participation attitude.
Attendance
Classes start on time, and tardiness or absences are strictly managed.
If you arrive more than 30 minutes after class starts, it is considered an absence.
In cases of unavoidable absences, you can be recognized as present by submitting an absence reason form and
supporting documents (such as medical records, plane tickets, train tickets, interview confirmation) for
confirmation by the Korean teacher or responsible staff.
Academic Probation and Dismissal
Completion is possible with an attendance rate of 80% or more and a grade of 60 points or higher.
If the attendance rate is less than 50%, dismissal occurs.
Level Test
New students are placed in levels through a placement test. The placement test consists of both written and
oral exams, determined by agreement between the responsible staff and instructor (students with no prior
Korean learning are placed in Level 1 and do not take the placement test).
If a student excels, they can advance to a higher level through a promotion test, which includes both
written and oral exams, determined by agreement between the responsible staff and instructor.
Students with prior Korean learning experience at other institutions have their level finalized based on the
level test results and certification of levels obtained from previous schools (relevant students must submit
completion and transcript certificates from their previous school).
Counseling
Conduct student counseling related to career or school life. (Location: Counseling Room, Global Education
Institute, Room 304, Insagwan)
Other
If a student is absent for more than 10 days without prior notice, they may be reported as having
discontinued their studies to the immigration office according to immigration laws, and their registration
may be canceled.
The Global Education Institute reserves the right to cancel the registration of students who disrupt the
study environment of the institute.
