CNU Global Education Center Hosts Special Lecture: “Reading Admiral Yi Sun-sin’s Nanjung Ilgiin English”

On November 29, the Global Education Center at Chonnam National University (Director: Won-Il Cho) held a unique special lecture featuring Admiral Yi Sun-sin’s war diary, the Nanjung Ilgi, read in English. The lecture drew the attention of both Korean and international students, with about 30 participants in attendance.

During the session, selected passages from Admiral Yi’s Nanjung Ilgiwere translated and read in English, followed by discussions among the students.

International students who joined the program shared, “Through this lecture, we learned that Yeosu is the very place where Admiral Yi Sun-sin, who holds an unprecedented record of undefeated naval battles in world history, carried out his heroic achievements.”
